EMPLOYER INFORMATION:

Clifford Beers is a mental health clinic serving children and families. Our mission is to provide integrated services addressing mental, physical, and social determinants in order to improve health, resiliency and quality of life for children, families and communities.

PURPOSE:

The Community Engagement and Outreach Manager is a core member of the Integrated Care for Kids (InCK) leadership team. The position is responsible for leading and managing the organization's community engagement and outreach efforts. The role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to build relationships with community stakeholders, raise awareness of the organization's work, and mobilize community support for the organization's goals. The role also plays a key role in the organization's strategic planning process, and in the development and implementation of new programs and initiatives. They will be working closely with the team to ensure all systems are designed to be culturally and clinically appropriate for the community. Employees are expected to perform their duties and The Community Engagement and Outreach Manager reports directly to the Director of Implementation and Quality Improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing the Community Health Organizer team
  • Lead community engagement and outreach efforts
  • Coordinate CT InCK care coordination strategies and system of care
  • Support Community Health Organizers in navigating system of care service integration model
  • Conduct continuous quality improvement (CQI) processes to test and change processes and systems
  • Generate weekly report of InCK activities and report to Vice President of Population Health
  • Assume other responsibilities as assigned

Education and License Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, social work, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in community engagement and outreach.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of the New Haven community
  • Ability to navigate systems work and manage Community Health Organizer staff
  • Knowledge and experience with care coordination
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to change

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
