YOUR CAREER OPPORTUNITY: Communications Support

As part of the Administrative Team working in Arlington, Virginia you will be responsible for composing and editing media, internal, and external executive communications, including writing, designing, and editing external executive communications. You will be preparing and briefing senior leadership for media interviews as well as researching, preparing, and providing input to external newsletters, trade publications and media inquiries. You will be responsible to research and prepare background on media and trade publications. You will track and monitor day-today official communications including task traffic, deadlines, and questions. You must be able to identify and propose solutions to planning program directions and assist in the determinate of the need for written policies and procedures. You will gather, analyze, and compose or edit technical materials, such as reports of research findings, technical articles, news releases, standard operating procedures, guidance documents, regulations, or periodicals. This position requires the abilities to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization, must have excellent telephone skills, verbal skills, written skills, and organizational skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • At least five years’ experience working in a professional office environment as a communications specialist.
  • Must be able to acquire Secret security clearance to be able to access various Government facilities.
