Job Summary: The housekeeper has the responsibility to maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the designated assigned areas in which he/she is assigned.
Performance Expectations: The incumbent must demonstrate proficiency in the essential functions of this position as outlined in the job description. As applicable, the incumbent must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the residents served in his/her assigned area. The schedule is M-F 2:30 pm-11 pm.
Job Requirements:
· Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, service manuals, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, work orders, and maintaining records. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to residents or management. Must have listening skills to interpret concerns and follow directions.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
