This position is located near Siloam Springs, Ark.
OVERALL DUTIES: Under the direction and guidance of the Director of Maintenance, the Tire Technician will be responsible for mounting, dismounting, and repairing commercial vehicle tires.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Use shop tire equipment and machines in a safe manner, maintain shop and work area in a neat and organized condition.
· Inspect damaged or flat tires to determine if they satisfy all company, DOT and FMCSR guidelines.
· Clearly communicate to the Service Writer all issues involving tires that do not meet specifications.
· Provide great customer service to all personnel and drivers.
· Use all necessary safety and compliance equipment as needed
· Replace tires as needed
· Perform tire work (mounting and dismounting) as instructed
Required Education, Expertise, and Tools
· 1 year of tire technician experience
· Current and valid driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach
· Ability to push/pull
· Ability to lift/carry up to 150 lbs.
· Ability to grasp tools
· Ability to discern color
· Repetitive motions: tire tools, air impact wrenches, and other handheld tools
Required hours
· 40 hours per week - Monday through Friday from 7:30 am – 4 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break *
· Overtime will be after hours and on weekends as needed and authorized by Management * Additional emergency overtime must be approved by management on a case by case basis
Working conditions:
· Frequently works outdoors. Exposed to noise and heights of up to 15 feet

· $12.00 to $16.00 /hour
