CNC Machinist - CNC Operator 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 4:30 pm – 5:00 am (overtime required)

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC, lathe and vertical machine tools to make parts per engineering specifications.
• Requires some physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the job
• Interpret dimensions and tolerances of pieces to be machined.
• Plan and execute assignments using a variety of machine tools.
• Use precision measuring instruments to check accuracy of work.
• Complete basic preventative maintenance on machines.
• Perform turning, drilling, grinding and stamping operations.
• Maintain production records and adhere to safety rules.
• Must be very comfortable working with large parts.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints.
• Demonstrating proficiency in machine shop mathematics, machine set-up, and machining procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
• Must be able to work standing for an 8 - 12 hour shift
• Ability to work in a safe manner observing safety practices; ability to lift up to 65 pounds when needed.

Preferred:

• Two years of CNC machining knowledge or comparable trade school training.
• Stable work history with long term positions held with a previous or current employer.
• Programming experience is desirable.
• Reading and understanding G&M codes.
