Assertive Professionals is seeking an HR Staffing Specialistsupporting our National Telecommunications and Information Administration/Department of Commercecustomer in the Washington DC Metro Area.

This is a FUNDED and IMMEDIATE opening!

The salary for this position is $74,000 and qualifies for an $1,200 annual corporate bonus for time and attendance compliance, and a $1,000 sign on bonus!

Responsibilities Include:

Performs personnel action reports (PAR) and processing for a myriad of purposes in the overall management of Departmental employees, including talent acquisition support, onboarding support, presentations, training and related activities.

Submission of HR related tickets/actions using portals
Human Resources Connect (HRC)
Enterprise Services Portal (ES Portal)
National Finance Center (NFC)
USA Staffing
Federal Talent Platform (new - coming soon)
Commerce Learning Center (CLC) (internal application exclusive to Department of Commerce)
Employee Manager (internal application exclusive to NTIA using Salesforce platform)
Processing HR/personnel actions such as:
Attitude/opinion surveys
Recognition and Awards
Details, reassignments, conversions, internal placement, outplacement, reemployment, etc.
Disciplinary and adverse actions
Employee Pay and Benefits (Federal Employee Health Benefits Plan (FEHB), Federal Employee Life Insurance (FEGLI), Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS), etc.)
Employee Performance
Family Medical Leave Act
Injury compensation
Interns (unpaid/paid/student volunteers)
Leave (vacation, sick, administration, etc.)
Personnel Action Request (PAR) Processing
Performance appraisals
Performance awards
Position classification requests
Promotions
Reasonable accommodations
Recruitment and appointments
Telework
Training and development (training requests)
Whistleblower retaliation/misconduct investigations


Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Requires High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Requires 7 years on-the-job experience supporting Federal Agenvies (non-DoD) with personnel action coding and processing, documenting processes and procedure; experience in a fast paced customer service environment.
  • Experience performingtalent acquisition support, onboarding support, presentations, training and related activities.
