Clipper Job at Solvis Employment Services, Inc.
JOB PURPOSE:
Clipper will inspect finished emblems, verify that the product matches order, and then remove all loose threads.
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Must be able to read work order to determine what the emblem is supposed to look like.
- Verify quantity and inspect emblems at a rate of 400 pieces per hour and report productivity on production sheets.
- Must be familiar with all fabric color charts as well as floss/mhpol colors to perform inspection correctly.
- Prepare for shipping, bundle, and put in plastic bag.
- Perform other work-related projects as assigned by the lead/supervisor or plant manager.
- Adhere to all Penn Emblem Company policies and safety procedures.
Skills, Knowledge, and Requirements:
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work operating in a multi-tasking function. Detail oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem solving.
- The position could involve sitting and standing and walking for long periods of time throughout the day.
- Requires lifting of product up to 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Requires reaching and twisting at the torso while handling emblems from the envelopes.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Manufacturing work environment.
- Exposure to shop elements including noise, dust, fumes, and odors.
FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Night shift
