ABOUT THE POSITION

Busy and growth oriented eye clinic is looking for a full-time, certified technician manager for their busy two-location NW Tucson ophthalmology practice. The right person will be an experienced, professionally mature individual who is flexible, innovative, and aware of all aspects of the practice. This individual will serve as the liaison between the physicians, technicians, and office personnel. Staff training, maintaining schedules of clinical positions, and staff communication to ensure smooth patient flow are key responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· The candidate must have a current COA or COT certification.

· The candidate must have a working ophthalmic background.

· Previous management experience preferred.

· Proficient in all clinic duties to provide coverage as needed.

· Proficiency with EHR systems, basic CPT and ICD-10 coding is preferred.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Oversees daily staffing, organizes a rotating schedule to ensure coverage of all areas of the clinic at multiple locations. Required travel between office locations whenever needed.

2. Trains, supervises, and coordinates the activities of the back office staff, while facilitating teamwork.

3. Evaluates and recommends need for equipment maintenance and repair.

4. Reviews physician schedules regularly and assists in maintaining correct and full schedules for each physician.

5. Oversees FDA Study Coordinator and study requirements for the practice.

6. Oversees the Refractive Coordinator and assists with refractive patients.

7. Plans and directs department meetings on a regularly scheduled basis.

8. Coordinates departmental education and verifies sessions that qualify for CME.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
