Responsibilities:

• Prepares patients for examination, take vitals, review and update medications and social history
• Prepares equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
• Assists physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
• Manages inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
• Chaperones patient during an examination
• Inject vaccines and intramuscular medications
• Answer phone calls promptly and address patents’ needs in a timely manner
• Complete front desk responsibilities and schedule patients for appointments

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 3-years of continuous MA experience
• Must have experience with EPIC Electronic Health Records
• Must have a clean background

Possession of a valid certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California to practice as a Medical Assistant.

Department of Consumer Affairs approved agencies include:

• American Association of Medical Assistants,
• American Medical Certification Association,
• American Medical Technologists,
• California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants,
• Multi-skilled Medical Certification Institute,

Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly efficient team player with strong interpersonal skills willing to work under close supervision of a physician. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate stable work history, be professional, dedicated, detail oriented and reliable. The candidate must be able to follow through tasks until completed. Ability to perform the tasks accurately, and efficiently is a must. Accurate documentation skills are mandatory.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
