CDL Driver -Home Weekends- Kalida, OH Job at Unverferth Mfg. Co., Inc.
This Kalida, OH O.T.R. Driver position is responsible for delivering equipment and parts using company supplied tractor trailer to the dealerships as directed by the transportation department.
This is a weekday position, with weekends and holidays at home.
Responsibilities:
- Unloading at the designated location's drop site
- Securing loads you are dispatched to pick up
- Maintaining an electronic logbook of the driving activities to ensure compliance with federal regulations governing the rest and work periods for operation
- Maintaining records of vehicle inspections and making sure the truck is equipped with required safety equipment
- Communicating professionally and effectively with coworkers, contract carriers and customers
Physical Demands:
- Full range of motion in arms, legs and shoulders
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED
- CDL with clean driving record
- Attention to detail
- Able to recognize and assimilate parts and part numbers
- Maintain clean Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) records
- Maintain active class A CDL license
- Annual DOT CDL self-designation
- Bi-Annual DOT medical certification
- Random DOT drug screening
- Random BAT (Alcohol) screens
