Well established, family owned business seeks honest, reliable person who is good with numbers to work as a cashier - think bookkeeping, not retail cashier. Applicant would be working 8 1/2 - 9 hours per shift.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidates are honest without exception and are able to produce several references (both personal and professional) happy to attest to that fact. They have excellent basic math skills and are quick with numbers. Accuracy and attention to detail are their greatest strengths.

About the Job:

This is a very rare opportunity as cashier positions seldom open up.

This job is much more like a bookkeeping or accounting job than it is like a cashier position in a retail store. You will not have a register to ring items up on that tells you how much change to give. When customers come to your window to cash out, you will need to look at the chips they present, decide how much they have, and then count out the proper cash amount.

We are an East Bay Card-room seeking professional, responsible individuals who are interested in joining our team. Individuals must be easy to work with, get along with all types of people, and have excellent customer service skills. If hired, applicant would be responsible for performing large numbers of cash for chips and chips for cash exchanges and recording transactions accurately.

401(k) participation available after 12 months. Medical is available the first of the month after 60 days (California Grand Casino pays 75% of employees premium). You will also earn one week of paid vacation each year.

Schedule:

We have 4 cashier shifts available at this time. Mon & Tue 12:45am to 9:15-9:30am on the main cashier window and Fri 7pm-3am & Sat 5pm-1am on the 2nd side window.

Job pays $17/hour plus tips. Schedule is four shifts/week. Main side Cashiers make tips from the floor person and customers. 2nd side cashier make $10/hour in tips from the main side cashier. An ability to work overnight shifts is a requirement.

Requirements:

Applicants will be required to take a written test to demonstrate basic math skills.

If hired, candidate must apply for and obtain a work permit with the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department in order to begin working. They will check your criminal background. Felonies, dishonesty, or stealing will result in automatic denial. Any other arrest may delay the process significantly.
