JOB SUMMARY:

The Carpenter II, under general supervision, performs work in the construction, repair and maintenance of structures and related physical facilities.

JOB DUTIES:
The Carpenter II is responsible for the full range of rough and finished skilled carpentry work which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Constructing, remodeling, retrofitting and repairing interior and exterior structures as directed by Foreman.
  • Assists Foreman in daily duties as required for each project
  • Ability to work from blueprints, specifications, drawings and instructions to design, build, remodel, retrofit, maintain and repair various types of facilities and structures;
  • Has general knowledge Oxford building standards, construction specifications, and is compliant with applicable building and safety codes and regulations;
  • Maintaining a clean, hazard free work area
  • Maintaining and safekeeping all company equipment, tools and vehicles; and maintaining appropriate work and repair records
  • Promptly and properly record all work performed and work hours
  • Responsible for organization and maintaining receipt log for all material, tool & vehicle purchases.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED, supplemented by completion of a trade school apprenticeship program that includes theory and on-the job work.
  • 2-4 years of experience working as a carpenter in a commercial, industrial or facilities operations setting, including rough and finished carpentry.
  • Maintain professionalism with clients, team members and vendors.
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage; Ability to provide own transportation.
  • Must have own hand tools for use.
  • Ability to learn new technologies as required.
  • Perform all job duties with a positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
