Presbyterian Homes of Georgia is currently seeking a caring individual to support the Health Services Center by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks as a Care Coordinator. Duties of the Care Coordinator include providing administrative and clerical support to the Nursing department, assisting in daily office needs, coordinating the office's general administrative activities all while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality.

As a Care Coordinator your responsibilities will include tasks such as administrative support, scheduling appointments, preparing reports, maintaining medical information in database systems and maintaining files in an organized and confidential manner.

The ideal candidate should have an professional image, positive attitude and a fantastic customer service focus; excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Office and office equipment.

Responsibilities (overview)

  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, staff and visitors
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Maintain medical documentation, files, etc. in an organized and confidental manner
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Work with database systems to maintain sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Maintain filing systems
  • Update and maintain office policies and procedures as directed
  • Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers as directed
  • Maintain contact lists and information
  • Provide general support to visitors and employees
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Liaise with additional administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from other managers

Skills

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant
  • Proven experience working with databases
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting (hospital, LTC/Skilled Nursing, etc.) is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • High School degree or higher; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus

If you have previous experience as an administrative assistant, unit secretary or similar position we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Care Coordinator should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day administrative operations in the Health Services Center.
