The Visit Programming Coordinator at Gateway Technical College contributes to the success of student recruitment efforts by developing and executing campus visit programs and events to provide a positive experience to prospective students and families on campus and virtually. This position will serve as the main point of contact in Recruitment to manage visit inquiries, event registration, and logistics for visit programming. Additionally, the Coordinator will oversee the college’s annual summer camps, supervise general camp volunteers, and collaborate with various departments and campus partners to ensure successful planning, supervision and execution of all camps.

This position reports to the Director, Recruitment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, lead and execute positive and memorable campus visit experiences associated with campus tours, recruitment events and visit programs for prospective students, families, and groups
  • Responsible for coordinating all aspects of campus visit programming. Primary contact for students, faculty, schools, and organization to plan campus visits and group tours
  • Collaborate with key department stakeholders to create and implement events and visit programs that immerses prospective students and families in the culture at the college and exposes them to career programs and support services/resources
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, scheduling, and execution of the college’s summer camp programming; facilitating meetings to discuss camp offerings, logistics, program schedules and a marketing plan
  • Create and produce detailed and accurate visit program directives, logistics plans, itineraries, signage, and staff communications including making on-campus facilities and IT reservations, and communicating details to campus partners to ensure that visit programs and events carry through from start to finish
  • Utilize data and high impact practices to enhance and deploy visit strategies to support recruitment. Leverages college systems to manage and effectively communicate with prospects and their families
  • Supervise and train the Recruitment Campus Tour Guides to support on campus visit & virtual programming to best meet the needs of our prospective students and families. Conduct training, evaluations and set expectations to ensure proper leadership and coaching of student workers
  • Responsible for accurate budget forecasting, monitoring and management for all visit program activities
  • Some weekend and evening events are required

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THE POSITION

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience developing, planning and coordinating events

OR

  • Associate degree and three (3) years of experience developing, planning and coordinating events and or campus visit programs

PLUS

  • Basic knowledge of college resources for students
