Campus Safety Officers PT Job at Teamops Llc
SUMMARY: The Campus Safety Officer will provide security services by enforcing campus policies and procedures, responding to and de-escalating incidents, participating in incident investigations and completing all reporting requirements. This position reports to the Manager of Campus Safety Services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Patrol of the Dean College campus.
Enforce campus community safety policies and programs.
Identify and record safety issues during patrols.
Respond to incidents and complete reports.
Report safety concerns and incidents to the Manager of Campus Safety Services.
Complete all required shift reports in a timely and thorough manner.
De-escalate situations whenever feasible.
Protect departmental assets.
Provide escorts on campus when requested.
Perform miscellaneous responsibilities as needed such as dispatching.
Participate in incident investigations as required.
Assist other campus entities as requested
Assist at school sponsored events
Special projects and assignments as business dictates
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
Previous experience in the security or related field
Excellent customer service skills
Effective communication skills, oral and written
Attentive to detail with strong observation skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and de-escalate situations
Technical ability in utilization of CCTV and alarm monitoring systems
Thorough understanding of the security operation
Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
The employee is frequently required to listen or talk.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
May be required to perform tasks in inclimate weather.
