Do you want to spend a paid summer in Alaska? Join us at Camp K for fun at one of Alaska's most beautiful sleep away camps in Cooper Landing. Just two hours South of Anchorage, our camp is located on the beautiful Kenai Peninsula. No outdoor experience is required, just a love for camp! If you want to build an inclusive and loving community at our camp, this is a perfect job for you! Housing and meals are included for the entire season.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Camp Health Director will oversee and manage the healthcare needs of Camp K participants and staff to include contributing to the implementation of COVID-19 mitigation plans while living on the camp premises. A typical day in this position will include reviewing health histories, dispensing medications, respond to first aid needs, mental health needs of campers and staff, monitor the COVID-19 policies and procedures, developing a stocking system for medical supplies, administrative duties, communication with guests and staff, develop and lead staff training on camp health and safety issues, adhere to ACA standards and CFA policies. all while living in the Chugach National Forest with everyday opportunities to be off the grid, experience wildlife, and take in the epic beauty right outside your cabin door!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current State of Alaska RN Licensure (or ability to transfer out-of-state license).
  • Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED & First Aid Certification from a nationally recognized provider, is required.
  • Twenty-one (21) years of age required to maintain compliance with regulatory and accrediting entities
  • Prior experience with youth healthcare delivery, preferably in a residential camp setting.
  • Experience working with diverse populations: multi-cultural, age, gender, etc, is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License and eligibility to drive agency vehicles with ability to drive and maneuver 16 passenger vans and trailer in tow, is preferred.
