Join us as one of our Camp Health Care Providers for the 2023 season of Interlochen Arts Camp. In this position you will rotate with one other Health Care Provider to provide clinic appointments every day with on-call availability after clinic hours have been completed. Housing and all meals for self and family are included with this position. We need Providers for a one week (or more) period during our Camp season - 6/16/23-8/6/23. The salary for this position is $1,500/week.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ability to care for campers within scope of practice at Interlochen, and appropriately refer to off site resources when needed
  • Provide clinic appointments (at 3 Health Centers) with on-call availability after clinic hours are complete
  • Will work 7 out of 14 days (alternating with another Provider)
  • Will work 24 hour shifts (8am-8am) - including clinic hours and on-call time

Required Experience:


  • Board Certification in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, or Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Licensure in the State of Michigan, and BLS certification required prior to start date
  • Nurse Practitioners must be able to function independently and have a collaborative agreement with prescriptive authority in Michigan
  • Proof of current malpractice insurance is preferred. If necessary, Interlochen will secure coverage.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use e-mail required. Interlochen uses an electronic medical record system; competent computer skills are required.
  • Clinic visits each day when on duty (8:00-9:30am, 10:00-11:30am, 12:30-2:00pm)
  • Enjoy working with young and adolescent children, possess strong communication skills, be able to Interact well with other team members and must function independently and make good medical judgements
