We are looking for patient-focused, compassionate, and empathetic individuals to work as a Patient Service Representative for our Call Center Team, located in Owings Mills, MD.

Patient Service Representatives in our busy Call Center answer phone calls routed from four locations. The primary job function is scheduling appointments for in office visits. Representatives also call patients to reschedule appointments as needed, route calls to the appropriate department, and check and return voicemails. When you work on this team, you will find that every call is an opportunity to make a difference in a patient's life! You will be a resource to our 4 offices and be a valued member of our organization. This is a full time Monday-Friday position with hours approximately 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM. 8 hour shifts with 30 minute unpaid lunch. NO WEEKENDS.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to incoming phone calls promptly and in an exceptional quality manner.
• Appropriately schedule patient appointments based on provider and scheduling guidelines.
• Through appropriate call control, ensure that calls are handled efficiently to attain daily call production goals.
  
• Coordinates work efforts with other team players to achieve an efficient workflow and time adherence within the office.
• Maintain strong knowledge of all site protocols and provider schedules/changes to ensure appropriate information is provided to patients.
• Perform other office duties as assigned by Call Center Supervisor, Clinical Manager, Front Office Supervisor, and Practice Administrator.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position must have:

• Strong verbal speaking skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient computer knowledge. Nextgen and/or eClinicalWorks EMR a plus.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage a high volume of calls.
• Knowledge of medical insurances a plus.
