Role Overview:

This position will be involved in designing of Orthopedic Trauma devices.

Responsibilities:

• CAD modelling and drafting of Orthopedic trauma implants, instruments & trays (70%)
• Other duties as required such as cleaning 3D printed prototypes, performing bench testing, assembling instrument sets (10%)
• Support managing 3D plotter runs & maintenance (10%)
• Inspecting prototypes against drawing specification (5%)
• Performing engineering analysis (5%)

Location: Memphis, TN

Education:

Associates Degree required (Associates in Computer Aided Drafting preferred)

Experience:

10+ years of CAD designer experience

Competencies:

Strong 3D CAD skills, Unigraphics is preferred

Product knowledge of Orthopedic Trauma devices

Understanding of gage design methods a plus

Strong communication skills including technical writing, listening, and speaking; ability to influence others

High learning agility with the ability to analyze and synthesize data and then present it to senior leaders

Must be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive project completion

Independent thinking and the ability to work within a team is required

Ability to assess technical issues and develop solutions utilizing an analytical approach to problem solving

Requires the ability to manage tight deadlines, multiple tasks from all levels of engineers, assignment changes, periodic heavy workload, rapidly changing technology, and dynamic business growth; time management and organization skills are a must

Physical Demands:

Lifting & carrying instrument sets as needed up to 25 lbs. Ability to perform typical maintenance of 3D plotter.

Travel Requirements: <10%

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.50 - $37.50 per hour
