Job Summary
Supports Sourcing and Purchasing organizations by providing data analysis, systems support, reporting, queries, supply chain integration support and material productivity improvement project support. Responsible for utilizing advance Excel, Access, and SQL-based query tools to analyze historical sourcing and spend information against forecasted usage and presenting results using PowerBI and other Source-to-Pay platforms/tools. Will facilitate and support material productivity improvement activities (RFP, reverse auction, etc.) using 3rd party tools, systems, and interface mechanisms.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Supporting material productivity improvement efforts by facilitating on-line RFP and reverse auction events and performing analysis of event results.
- Extracting, analyzing, and publishing historical spend information using various tools, communication platforms and methods.
- Deliver reports, action lists and other task-related information to affected matrix partners (Buyer/Planners, Sourcing Specialists, Category Leaders, etc.)
- Perform comparative systemic analysis on sourcing and purchasing information to support on-going transactional process improvement efforts.
- Facilitate continuous improvement of sourcing and purchasing systemic processes using root cause/countermeasure processes and skill sets.
Education (minimum education required)
Experience (minimum experience required)
- 2 to 5 years within a sourcing, purchasing or supply-chain support organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and interact with internal and external stakeholders/matrix partners.
- Working knowledge of utilizing various tools and methods (MS Excel, MS Access, or other query/reporting systems) to retrieve and analyze systemic information.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Access, Visio).
Preferred Experience (i.e. industry experience)
- Knowledge of PowerBI a plus.
- Knowledge of ERP (Planning, Sourcing or Purchasing) environments a plus.
- Procurement experience with different commodities is a plus.
