YOUR PURPOSE
Key stakeholder of the data warehouse and visual analytics systems. Solicit information on enterprise direction, goals, and industry competitive environments to determine how their function can add value to the organization and its members. Your data-driven support for decisions and recommendations directly link to the organization’s strategy and financial goals. You will work collaboratively with technical business and operations analysts to conduct thorough data analysis, design and optimize reporting and analytics, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure the department is optimizing its data resources to maximize credit union market share.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Analysis, Development & Programming
  • Seek out solutions to enterprise data needs through available sources including supervisors, peers, clients, intranet/internet, and internal documentation
  • Translate metrics and analytical information into easily understood information for leaders to make more informed decisions
  • Using complex computer programs and visual analytical tools, mine data sources to understand trends and to support leaders decision
  • Directly support, facilitate, and lead business process analysis using established guidelines to achieve enterprise application optimization
  • Support the design, development, and maturation or an enterprise-wide data analysis and reporting solution
  • Document processes and procedures for existing and future technology services and enterprise applications
  • Pursue positive, collaborative relationships with business staff fostering strong meaningful connections with technologists
  • Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of core components of the business enterprise including the financial core platform, data warehouse, and 3rd party data sources
  • Document project work and related activities to maintain accurate and complete records to support project success measurements and goals
  • Ensure internal and regulatory compliance for business intelligence solutions
  • Identify market trends, technologies, and economies that positively or negatively impact the business and make recommendations based on research
  • Use analytical competencies to identify potential crisis, and devise contingency plans, to include those in support of business continuity and disaster recovery activities
  • Create business cases for investments in process improvement and technological enhancements that will enhance or improve the data capabilities of the organization
  • Translate complex data into understandable text, either via data or visual analytics for all levels of the organization
  • Collaborate with I.S. staff including system administrators to ensure administration of the data warehouse, and functional operation of database servers are maintained in an aligned manner with industry best practices

  • An intimate understanding for business processes and a developed acumen for the assigned line of business/department to ensure responsible data use, analysis, and systems integration
  • Effective in gathering business requirements and in turn establishing project milestones, deliverables, and estimation of effort with stakeholders
  • Disciplined enterprise application administration partnered with strong documentation and processes used to support preparedness for change control, quality assurance, and business continuity
  • Fully understand the complex relationships between all areas within the enterprise including business history, current state, financial goals, organizational structure, and vendor partnerships
  • Ability to define strategic imperatives in terms of the links between increased value, enterprise needs, and technological solutions

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related technical, or engineering discipline. Minimum five years of experience implementing and supporting enterprise applications and technology systems/services; to include experience with database administration, data integration, data warehousing, data analytics, business intelligence and reporting services. Related work experience may substitute for education.

  • Preferred experience within the financial industry, specifically supporting financial analytics
  • Three or more years’ experience in SQL programming, data integration and/or ETL experience, and working with and maturing relational databases. Strong competency with relational databases, systems development life cycle or Agile, and enterprise resource planning
  • Preferred experience with ETL/Reporting Tools such as Microsoft SSIS, SSRS, Informatica, Power BI

  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to manage changing priorities
  • Self-directed and possesses the ability to work independently and balance competing priorities.

To perform the essential functions of this position an employee must be able to meet the following work place demands: ability to converse with others, detect sound, identify and detect objects, count, read, write, operate a computer, handle and feel objects, reach with hands/arms and be stationary and/or stand and/or move for long periods of time. Occasionally an employee will lift/pull/push and carry up to 25 to 50 pounds, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and be able to maintain balance doing these activities. Position requires sound reasoning, good judgement and ability to apply knowledge toward work activities. The noise level is moderate and typical of a normal office environment. The full pay range for this position across all the states in which we hire is $71,998 - $121,677. The figures shown represent the minimum and maximum of the range for this role. Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate’s experience, education, and skill level.
