TGH is the area’s only level I trauma center and one of just two ABA-verified adult & pediatric burn centers in Florida. Job Summary
Works under the supervision of a Business Intelligence Manager and/or other analytic leadership appropriate for the scope of work. This role is responsible for data analytics and additional support of performance measures, ongoing measurement, data collection, reporting, data visualization, and information dissemination. They are subject matter data experts that work with IT solutions to solve high priority organizational analytic problems in multiple domains, including but not limited to clinical quality, operations, and finance. This role involves developing and fine tuning exploratory IT solutions, which includes coding, testing, debugging, designing, and implementing newly developed BI solutions. Spends time researching and planning analytic solutions for existing and new problems within the organization as directed by their supervisor and leadership. Responsible for leading the subject matter strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence tools. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems independently. Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhance clinical & business decision-making capabilities. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Goals are communicated in solution or project goal terms. Will provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Partners and collaborates with other analytic teams and data warehouse engineers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Management or specialized training/certification.
  • Experience beyond the work experience requirement may be substituted for the degree on a 2 years of experience for 1 year of education basis.
  • Certification in at least one Epic module within the first year
  • Minimum of 5 years of related technical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and managing databases and reports for analytic projects
  • 4+ years of experience with Business Intelligence Tools (PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView/Qlik Sense, etc)
  • Advanced with the ETL process/tools (SSIS, QDI, ADF, Informatica) and creating datasets to support reports and dashboards
  • Advanced understanding of relational databases with experience using SQL query techniques.
  • Advanced Experience with data profiling, data quality, master data management
  • Knowledge of data warehouses/data stores and data marts
  • Experience developing a test plan and executing test scenarios related to building and deploying dashboards
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem identification and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong collaborative, proactive, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues from varying backgrounds
  • Able to function in a complex, busy, changing environment while meeting necessary deadlines
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and data mining.
  • Certification in at least one Epic module within the first year
  • Experience mentoring colleagues, Project lead with minimal supervision
  • Experience working with quality outcomes and process measures data preferred.
  • Experience working with benchmarking data and public reporting preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree of data science and/or advanced analytics
  • Certified in at least one of Epic’s data model
  • Experience with clinical/business analytics reporting and dashboards
  • Knowledge of current healthcare environments preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise databases and analytic reporting
  • 5+ year of experience using Qlik Sense/QlikView/Tableau/PowerBI
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling and tools (ie R/Python/SAS/SPSS)
  • Certified in at least one Data Platform and Analytics Tools
