Business Development Senior Construction Manager Job at Miller Integrated Solutions
Summary
The business development manager cultivates bidding opportunities with new and existing customers for the assigned division(s) or territory. This is an outside sales role that requires close collaboration with division management, pre-construction managers and estimators to identify, prioritize and capture projects.
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Aggressively market our capabilities to new and existing customer segments.
- Develop and prioritize customer list in collaboration with Sales and Operations
- Develop strategies to expand our footprint with current customers and in new territories.
- Set aggressive weekly, monthly and quarterly goals for business development activities including customer engagement, bid invites and sales.
- Provide consistent follow up on all bids submitted by the division, reporting on KPIs including hit ratio and bid status.
- Capture market information to enhance proposals or differentiate
- Represent us at industry events and lead participation in formal and informal networking opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop and implement campaigns and resources that enhance our market position and customer conversion.
- Travels as needed
Required Education and Experience
- Time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple divisions, customers and business development goals.
- Clear written and oral communication is required. This position collects substantial market information which must be shared within the companies to make adjustments to pricing and company differentiation strategies.
- Experience in commercial outside sales, generating new business leads and bidding opportunities. We are seeking a closer who will provide aggressive capture management activities to support sales goals.
- Construction industry experience highly preferred.
