Business Development Representative - Account Management Job at Mintel

Our Business Development team focuses on expanding our client base in the Consumer Packaged Goods sector. This individual will join a very successful team that serves as an integral part of Mintel's business growth, and will have the opportunity to help expand our relationships within our top accounts. You must be a highly motivated individual with a positive, can-do approach to problem-solving and have at least one year of sales or sales support experience.

This role will be required to report to our US headquarters office in Chicago, working a hybrid schedule with the preference of one day onsite per week. We require the individual to have eligible working rights in the United States. Interviews and onboarding are currently being conducted virtually.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Building a Pipeline: Sourcing and identifying cold and warm prospects for Mintel's Account Management team, leveraging multiple sources to uncover prospects (Salesforce, Salesnavigator, Zoominfo, LinkedIn, etc.) and supporting outreach (currently Salesloft) to build pipeline opportunities within our current client portfolio
  • Converting and Nurturing Leads: Managing inbound marketing leads and serving as the first contact point to leads from our current portfolio.
  • Managing Prospects: Tracking a high volume of prospects in our sales database, Salesforce and recording of all interactions with qualified prospects.
  • Identifying and Prospecting Key Decision Makers: Targeting individuals across all divisions of CPG companies including but not limited to Marketing, Insights, R&D, Culinary, Innovation, and Product to understand their specific needs, by uncovering opportunities for growth at that client
  • Collecting Feedback: Gathering and relaying market feedback information to the Account Managers and leadership teams.
  • Collaborating Internally: Working hand-in-hand with the Account Management and Consulting team (or other internal teams) to identify and capitalize on outreach strategies leveraging sales enablement technology.
  • Building Industry Knowledge: Developing an in-depth understanding of the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
