Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a self-motivated, safety and success-orientated Business Development and Government Relations Manager for the Eastern United States Region to enhance Herzog’s future opportunities in working with various transit market agencies.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
  • Cultivate and maximize meaningful client relationships – current and future
  • Coordinate with all internal groups to develop mutually beneficial proposals
  • Attend professional meetings to gain insight on potential future business opportunities
  • Present Herzog’s brand and solutions to prospective clients and internal executives
  • Create and implement processes and policies to support the overall business
  • Strategically develop industry partnerships to grow business
  • Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • College degree preferred but not required
  • Five years of experience in transit business development is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and favorable driving record
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Demonstrated computer proficiencies with the below programs:
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher)
    • Adobe Acrobat
    • InDesign
    • Dropbox, Cloud based storage access
    • Google Docs, Drive and Calendar
    • Research online information for providing support to different departments

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review
  • Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen
  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis
