Our Accounting department is looking for an Accounting Project Business Analyst. This position fills a needed role within the Tax Accounting area, while also providing technical solutions to the department. The qualifications are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or business related field
  • Score within the recommended range or higher on the Business Analysis Aptitude Test
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent planning, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Basic skills in business-related PC software (such as Word, Excel, Visio, Azure DevOps etc.)

The role responsibilities are:

The role responsibilities are:

  • Accounting Tasks
  • File annual state and municipal premium tax returns for the Company, and process any related payments.
  • Prepare monthly and annual premium reports for internal analysis and required regulatory filings.
  • Assist the corporate tax area with tasks related to income tax return preparation and filing.
  • Assist with year-end 1099 reporting.
  • Perform various AP, Tax, Investment, or other daily General Accounting tasks, not related to project work.
  • Business Analyst Tasks
  • Use data files, spreadsheets, VB programs, and database queries to assist in preparation of various reports
  • Perform departmental efficiency assessments as assigned.
  • Function as liaison between end users/key stakeholders and Applications Development personnel to identify business needs and formulate technology solutions.
  • Develop, implement, and execute test plans for new products, system enhancements, and other in-house projects.
