WoodmenLife is looking to add a Temporary Workstation Technician to our Team! POSITION SUMMARY: The Workstation Technician is accountable for setup, configuration, and deployment of all software and computing devices throughout the enterprise following strict security guidelines. This role follows set inventory management procedures to ensure accuracy and availability and is responsible for following procedures for performing maintenance and repair on hardware we support. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Builds and deploys hardware to associates throughout WoodmenLife’s home and regional offices.

  • Ensures hardware deployments meet or exceed all Security guidelines. • Manages installation and configuration of software via manual, script-based, and SCCM install methods. • Ensures pre-deployment functional and user testing is complete to certify a successful transition. • Preserves all hardware and peripheral inventory by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing the hardware as possible.
  • Manages new incoming hardware to include tracking, unboxing, and assembly. • Plays a critical role during hardware lifecycle events by imaging hardware, configuring software, aligning user specific content, and deploying according to defined schedule. • Manages hardware end of life and recycling to include erasure and, if necessary, destruction of company data. • Ensures all hardware awaiting deployment or recycling is wiped of all data, including the operating system, prior to storage and/or recycle.
  • Manages the loaner laptop program for all Home Office associates, as well as maintains the loaner laptop hardware and software. • Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes telephone, voicemail, email, and in person incidents and requests from local and remote WoodmenLife associates pertaining to questions, user training, and technical support. • Fully documents all customer interaction, and actions taken, within the incident and request tracking tool. • Adheres to the WoodmenLife attendance policy to ensure proper management and support.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in similar work environment with similar duties. • Solid customer service skills as demonstrated through willingness to help, and a drive for results attitude. • Solid analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
  • Detailed knowledge of computer concepts, hardware and software troubleshooting. • Experience with SCCM imaging and build solutions for Windows based products. • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment while still maintaining a high level of attention to detail. • Highly self motivated drive to accomplish great things; not afraid to see things differently and to present new ideas in a friendly, positive manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Working knowledge of WoodmenLife’s products and systems.
