Youth Development Specialists Compensation: Starting at $18.00 per hour DEO
The Boys & Girls Clubs of South San Luis Obispo County is seeking applicants to be a part of our 2022-2023 School Year Team. We provide young people with a safe place to go before and after school. We seek to ensure that all kids, especially those who need us most, have a positive and enriching experience when school is out, putting them on the path to success.
Primary Function: Implement youth development activities in the areas of STEM, academic and physical education enrichment programs. Duties also include but are not limited to: creating lesson plans, facilitating enrichment classes, supervising youth all while being a positive role model.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Ability to communicate with youth and peers
- Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
- Ability to organize and supervise youth members in a safe and fun environment
- Available Monday through Friday for our Before and/or After School Programs
- Available to attend our Monthly trainings, one Wednesday a month from 6:30-8p
- Can furnish proof that you are over 18 years of age
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid certifications
- Current TB Test
- Complete the NCLB Test or Proof of 60 College Units
- Ability to pass a rigorous background check
