Bookstore Associate, Part-Time

The Bookstore Associate will be tasked with working the front counter/cash register, assisting the receiving clerk with preparation and receiving of merchandise, and providing excellent customer service. The Bookstore Associate is a part-time, 19-hour or less appointment on a schedule established by the Bookstore Manager.

Essential Job Functions

  • Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
  • Prepare merchandise for purchase or rental.
  • Maintain a positive, professional work environment and relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong visual and verbal communication, proofreading and listening skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem solving.
  • Successfully complete a criminal background check with fingerprinting.
