Bookkeeper/Office Manager Job at Trans-Pacific Design

Trans-Pacific Design, an award-winning interior design firm located in Waimea (Kamuela), Hawai’i , is looking to hire a full-time bookkeeper. This position may be hybrid with some weekly remote and some in office work after training is complete.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements:

  • Weekly payable and financial reports
  • Monthly reconciliations (account balances, trust balances, petty cash, hourly billings, reimbursements, client retainers, & employee Simple IRA contributions).
  • Process monthly GET Reports & Payments
  • Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly and yearly).
  • Process accounts receivable/accounts payable.
  • Process client time billings
  • Maintain client files, purchase orders, proposals and vendor invoices
  • Review and estimate freight for purchases in preparation for proposals
  • Review proposals & track work in process
  • Audit invoices against purchase orders.
  • Track expenses, help prepare annual budget, taxes, cash flow, receipts and other financial dealings.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
  • Coordinate and process new hire paperwork.
  • Job Costing (profit & loss)
  • Manage the annual vendor 1099 process.
  • Prepare annual package with supporting documents for tax preparer

Required Experience and Skills:

· Proficient in accounting software (Avid)

· Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word

· Proficient with A/P, A/R, bank and G/L reconciliation

· Must be legally entitled to work in the United States

· Must speak professional English with strong written and interpersonal skills

· Must have excellent computer skills and the ability to adapt to new software systems.

· Must be detail oriented and accurate in their work

Preferred experience & skills

· Full-time Bookkeeping experience:

o Either ten years’ experience as a bookkeeper, or

o An Associates Degree and a minimum of three years of office bookkeeping experience

· Experience with computer accounting programs

Job Type: full-time

Pay: $18-23.00/hour depending on experience
