Caregiver Grove is seeking a Billing Specialist to help meet the needs of our growing business. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative and a natural problem solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced office setting. Caregiver Grove is looking for passionate professionals who want to grow within our organization. We are a small behavioral health agency headquartered in the downtown Toledo area. We serve a diverse population of individuals with the basic philosophy that each client is a person, a family member, and a member of a larger community; and that each client requires a different amount of emotional, physical, psychological, social, and spiritual support.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Review stuck claim issues and resolve escalated member complaints related to billing
• Conduct A/R clean-up projects, and provide SWAT team support for high-risk billing areas
• Identify trending claim issues and work with RCM and Finance leadership on A/R risk remediation strategies
• Independently drive process improvement projects to address root causes of denials/write-offs
• Work cross-functionally with clinicians when coding and billing questions/issues arise
• Monitor claims volume relative to staffing and works with RCM leadership on addressing any staffing capacity risks
• Pull reports and analyze claims data to identify trends.
• Collaborate with other Billing team members to resolve outstanding issues
• Uphold HIPAA compliance guidelines.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma
• 5+ years of Revenue Cycle Management experience and knowledge of medical claims
• Certified in Billing and Coding
• Self-starter with strong billing, coding, and claims follow-up skills
• Behavioral health / mental health service line and telehealth billing experience
• Experience working with payer-provider relations teams on trending payer issues, as well as working cross-functionally (including credentialing, support, contracting, and account management) to improve internal workflows
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis
• Strong root cause and problem-solving skills
• Ability to navigate occasionally complex workflows.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Technically savvy with claims billing software and Microsoft Office, with a desire to learn new software as well.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
