• Creating invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to a customer or patient
• Inputting payment history, upcoming payment information, or other financial data into an individual account
• Finding financial solutions for patients or customers who may need payment assistance
• Informing patients or customers of any missed or upcoming payment deadlines
• Calculating and tracking various company financial statements
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing.
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe.
• Researching and appealing denied claims.
• Answering patient or insurance telephone inquiries about assigned accounts.
• Setting up patient payment plans and work collection accounts.
• Responsible for the billing process for Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance
• Ability to develop procedures, schedule, and complete audit of programs for accurateness of reporting charges for services rendered and monies collected
• Reviews delinquent accounts to identify write-offs; submits write-offs
• Ability to review and resolve client account balances
• Develops appropriate policies, procedures and forms related to billing functions, as necessary
• Completes other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,618.00 - $53,534.00 per year

• Health information management: 5 years (Preferred)
