The Bible acquisitions director will collaborate in leading acquisitions and development for Tyndale Bibles.
As Bible acquisitions director, you will be responsible for developing new Bible concepts and managing updates of existing Bible sub-brands that support the mission of Tyndale House Publishers. This will include acquiring and developing authors and titles, proposing new projects for internal approval, collaborating with other teams throughout the publishing process, managing relationships with authors and ministry partners, contributing to planning and budgeting, and serving as the main carrier of the vision for each Bible.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, business administration, marketing, or a related field. An MDiv or MA in theological or biblical studies training or equivalent experience is preferred, and a graduate degree is a plus. A minimum of five years of experience in publishing and/or content development with a thorough knowledge of the Christian publishing industry is necessary.
A desirable candidate will have demonstrated and proven talents in strategic, critical, and creative thinking; relational skills; collaboration; multi-tasking; solving problems; and attention to detail and deadlines. This candidate will also possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities. A strong Christian faith-walk with a thorough knowledge of the Bible is also necessary for success in this position.
