BI Revenue Cycle Analyst 2 Job at Harbin Clinic
Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for creating and managing reports that enable financial operations teams to manage and evaluate the revenue cycle performance. Reports directly to the Business Intelligence Lead and also works closely with the revenue cycle teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides insight and support for revenue cycle integrity and workflow processes using data analytics and visualizations
- Through the analysis of key performance indicator data, the analyst works to improve revenue cycle production and efficiency
- Assures all established billing, systems, and process requirements have been met in order to ensure timely and optimal reimbursement
- Assesses the business use and functions of revenue cycle application systems providing recommendations for optimization as necessary
- Identifies and reports on revenue cycle trends affecting reimbursement
- Supports financial analysis
- Runs, reviews, interprets, analyzes, and validates revenue cycle reports
- Conducts revenue cycle report analysis and validation
- Run standard and ad hoc revenue cycle and operations reports in order to answer questions from department/practice managers, vendors, physicians, and other revenue cycle stakeholders
- Support coding audits through analytics and reporting.
- Provide analysis on claims by payer and denial trends to support payer contracting, collections, and operations.
- Create workflows and reports that facilitate collection turn over to 3 rd party collection agency.
- Manage government overpayment reports to facilitate refund process within regulatory requirements.
- Analyze claims to identify missed insurance billing and potential payment opportunities.
- Provide feedback reports to support timely filing initiatives, identify zero paid claims, and unapplied payments.
Education Requirement :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance or a closely related field
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. Ability to work independently, multi-task, exercise judgment, make decisions and provide recommendations. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
- 3+ years of experience exhibiting advanced performance in physician and/or hospital billing revenue cycle
- Healthcare experience in data analytics, systems performance, and/or accounting
- Advanced knowledge of third-party insurance, and familiarity with insurance plan types and government payers
- Critical thinking with root-cause analysis and/or lean processes
- Great interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to listen, research and determine root cause of issues.
- Must have experience using Microsoft excel, data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc as well as data warehousing tools such as Snowflake or SQL databases
- Working knowledge of SQL scripts
- Healthcare experience preferred
