Nurturing by Hands Behavior Consultant, LLC is a collaborative organization that provide Intensive Behavior Health Services (IBHS) and ABA therapy to children ages 2-21 years of age for in-home, school or community settings that assist children /adolescents and families in addressing behavioral health needs by using strength-based goals and integrating community services.

Nurturing by Hands Behavior Consultant, LLC Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides one-on-one supports, interventions including but not limited to crisis intervention, intensive behavior management support, emotional support, time-structured activities, and psychological rehabilitative activities to children/adolescents who manifest a wide range of disabilities and functioning levels at homes, schools, day care, and/or community by implementing behavior health and support. The provision of these services allows the child to remain in the least restrictive treatment or education setting.

Job Requirements:

Behavior Consultant (License or Non-License), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Behavior Health Technician (BT), Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Mobile Therapist (MT), Medical Billing/Claims. and Administrative Assistance.

  • Possess a High School diploma or with experience for behavior technician position or RBT position board certified with high school diploma.
  • Possess a required Master’s Level Degree in the field of psychology, criminal justice, behavior analysis, behavior science, for listed positions ( Behavior Consultant-License or non-License, Mobile Therapist (Master’s Degree with therapy/counseling experience, and have completed behavior trainings, experience OR have a minimum of 2 years’ experience providing with working with children/adolescents ABA services and at least 40 hours of ABA training
  • Experience utilizing mental and behavior health methodologies and data collection
  • Ability to model all skill acquisition programs and components of a Behavior Intervention Plan to parents and/or school personnel
  • Experience and/or training working with 2-21 years old in the mental or behavior hand health population in their school, home, community setting and other approved settings.
  • Home-based service delivery experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing services to children with intellectual disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • TSS experience with the mental, behavior health and autism population.
  • Behavior Health Technician (BHT)
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential
  • Teacher asst, PCA, CNA -experience working with children or adults (Position is working with children)

Behavioral Consultants

  • Design behavior modification interventions that are individualized to each child/adolescent and their family’s strengths and needs.
  • Develop a treatment plan to be implemented by the family, school, and/or other treatment team members.
  • Observe and assess the child where interventions are implemented.
  • Ensure quality treatment by the consistent tracking of behavioral data exhibited by the client.

Mobile Therapists

  • Provide weekly therapeutic services and interventions with the child and family addressing identified problems.
  • Provide individual and family therapy that is individualized to each child/adolescent and their family’s strengths and needs.
  • Ensure quality treatment by the consistent tracking of data for client’s specific therapeutic goals.

All Clinicians

  • Collaborate with other systems and supports involved with the child/adolescent/family in order to maintain continuity of care.
  • Complete assessments and treatment updates as required by the agency and MCO.
  • Provide support and supervision to Behavioral Health Technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a recognized clinical discipline with documented training in behavior modification techniques and/or psychotherapy (required)
  • 1+ years of experience providing clinical behavioral health services to children and families (required)
  • Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum as part of a graduate program (required for MTs; preferred for BCs)
  • Hold one of the following licenses: LSW, LCSW, LBS, LMFT, LPC (preferred, but not required)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (required)

Nurturing by Hands Behavior Consultant, LLC carries out specific interventions that are identified in the behavioral treatment plan developed by the Behavioral Consultant (BC), the Interagency Team and the Nurturing by Hands Behavior Consultant, LLC treatment team.

Teaches the child positive social skills in order to avoid or decrease socially inappropriate, threatening and/or dangerous behavior by implementing the behavioral interventions (e.g. role play, modeling, positive reinforcement) that have been developed by the BC Models and explains the appropriate intervention to the child, family and/or teacher by working collaboratively with them modeling the behaviors based on the interventions that have been developed by the BC Supports caregivers in providing immediate rewards or consequences for behavior identified in the individual behavioral treatment plan.

· Implements behavioral supports as identified in the treatment plan to support the child in their participation in activities such as summer camp, community events and school-based events.

· Records behavioral data and documents progress toward child’s treatment plan goals into Nurturing by Hands Behavior Consultant, LLC electronic health records system

· Writes daily progress notes consistent with treatment goal adjectives to be placed in child’s case files

· Completes and submit weekly encounter forms to ensure appropriate billing.

· Complies with IBHS regulations and seeks out and receives the appropriate number of supervision hours per month to maintain compliance.

· If applicable, Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols

· Performs other duties as assigned.
