The primary role of the Behavior Coach is to provide behavior management, parenting skills, assist with living skills, and mentor children as needed. The Behavior Coach will assist with the coordination of case management services and form positive supportive relationships with children and their families using ways that adhere to the Arizona 12 Principles.
The candidate selected for this position will be eligible for a sign on incentive.
Qualifications Required
- HS diploma or GED and must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Possess valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, home telephone and reliable transportation. Transports participants to scheduled activities
- Certification in first aid, CPR and CPI, agency will provide training if candidate does not have certification.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Have availability of home telephone for easy access of Agency contact
- Ability to type and working knowledge/familiarity with computers and electronic clinical record keeping
- Must obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card and pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
Qualifications Preferred
- Bilingual – English/Spanish
- Experience working in Integrated Healthcare, Behavioral Health or Residential
- Advanced knowledge of cultural diversity and sensitivity
