Cafe Javasti’s Little Kitchen is looking for a star baker!

Little Kitchen produces a variety of classic baked goods and savory foods from scratch everyday for our two Cafe Javasti locations. Cafe Javasti has been a community staple in the North East Seattle neighborhoods for almost 20 years. In 2014, we opened a commissary kitchen, Little Kitchen. Our name comes from years of baking in a tiny kitchen in the back of our Maple Leaf shop.

We are a small batch kitchen that requires good time management skills and self motivation and an eye for details. You must be able to follow recipes and be consistent in food production. If you love baking in a small kitchen team setting, email us your resume and cover letter!

The Position:
Full time position available - about 35+ hours. (Possible part time positions considered!)
Responsibilities could include producing our cookies, quick breads, cakes and cupcakes, bars, quiche and more. At times there could be some savory items to produce.
Starting pay: 18.00 hourly + tips

Scheduling:
Set schedule: Ideally Friday - Tuesday. Some weekend availability is needed.
Shift length will vary, depending on workload, but normally it is 6 - 8 hours.
We are flexible in our a.m. start times, but must begin before 9 a.m.

The Must-haves:
Food prep experience (knife skills are a must!)
1 year of professional kitchen, schooling or home experience. Must have a love and passion for food and improving skill set.
Have a wide variety of kitchen skills to produce all of our menu offerings, sweet and savory.
Be efficient and clean in your work space.
Can laugh in the kitchen but possess a serious work ethic.
Must be able to lift between 25 and 50 lbs
This position requires you to be on your feet for long periods of time.
