Your Role


We are looking for a passionate, revenue-driven B2C Sales Leader to join a well-funded EdTech startup backed by world-renowned VCs. In this role, you will be tasked with building a B2C sales machine, helping us capitalize on the huge global potential of this market.


Your Impact

  • Revenue-Driven - you will be tasked with owning and hitting / exceeding monthly sales targets within assigned leads.

  • Think in millions - you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic and operational plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base. You will spearhead key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans.

  • Player-coach mentality- you will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and coaching a team of B2C Sales Managers for our product, ensuring leads are converted into sales leading to revenue generation.

  • Pipeline - you will work closely with the Head of Growth in implementing and constantly improving the B2C end-to-end sales cycle.

  • Target Market Expansion - at this time, four countries account for 95% of our B2C revenue. You will spearhead the strategies for expansion into more regions.


In your first month, you will:

  • Get onboarded and brought up to speed with all things VI - our company structure, product, mission, and values

  • Meet with colleagues across the company and start building relationships that will help you better understand the company

  • Review and learn about our current programs, systems, and data so you can gain insight into where we currently are.


Within 3 months, you will:

  • Take ownership of your role and start working directly with stakeholders.

  • Have developed strong relationships with the B2C Sales team and be the front line of cross-departmental collaboration for the department.

  • Understand the ins and outs of the existing B2C sales data, and have suggested improvements to how we track the impact of our initiatives


Within 6 months, you will:

  • Participate in building a long-term growth and vision for the B2C Sales Team, including strategies, building and coaching your team

  • Have a firm grip of the B2C Sales pipeline within Salesforce

  • Be consistent in running experiments

  • Prefer a lean team - what we don’t think the role is a good fit for is if you believe headcount is a metric for success, or if you have an obsession with titles. You prefer to have a lean team, and like to find quick , clever and sometimes tech or no-code solutions to solve the B2C challenges

Your Experience

  • 2-4 years + experience in an sales role (preferably in Education/EdTech/SaaS)

  • 1-2 years + experience managing a sales team (preferably in Education/EdTech/SaaS)

  • In additional to sales, you’ve got qualifications or experience in some of these areas: Digital marketing, business, negotiation, design or project management.

You stand out from the crowd if:

  • You have worked at a Series A or Series B scaleup

  • Experience using a CRM (Salesforce/Hubspot preferred)

  • Experience speaking with and advising university-age students

  • You have worked at a remote-first organization
