Position Summary:
Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, files, reports and control.
Responsibilities:
Schedules work periods and timeframes for employees. Assigns, prioritizes and distributes work to be completed. 
Holds staff accountable for attendance and productivity standards. Interviews prospective applicants for open positions. 
Responsible for the orientation and training of new employees. 
Responsible for conducting performance evaluations to include coaching, counseling and guidance to staff. 
Maintains required records, files, reports and statistics. 
Ensures that the department operates within established budget limits and justifies any variances to Manager. 
Addresses all patient/visitors/staff complaints and ensures that appropriate action is taken to resolve the problem. 
Communicates and coordinates with other hospital departments to ensure effective patient flow. 
Ability to communicate cooperatively and constructively with physicians, nurses, guests and other members of the healthcare team. 
Ability to maintain excellent professional behavior with a large volume of patient accounts from various social economic backgrounds. 
Manages various personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions. 
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
 Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
 Establishes and maintains an environment of positive motivation through individual and group interactions with staff. 
Facilitates and supports the departmental goal setting process for staff. 
Utilizes problem-solving techniques to create a proactive environment. 
Responsible for maintaining professional growth and development through education programs, lectures, research, etc. . 
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education/Training
Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Communication, Business, Finance or related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience on a 1:1 basis, offsetting experience must be in the field of Healthcare/Patient Financial Services. Must complete Orlando Health Patient Financial Services Professional Development program within one (1) year fromdate of hire

Experience
Three (3) years prior supervisory experience or 3 years in a lead role or 3 years in a preceptor role.
