StudentResources is part of the E&I business segment under UnitedHealthcare. Our clients are colleges and universities and our members are college students. We work with the Sales team, brokers, internal teams and vendors, including UHC Specialty, Teladoc, UHC Global, etc. to support our Ancillary Products. We also work with our ID card vendor, FuseMind, to create and maintain ID cards. Our competitors include Anthem, Cigna, Aetna, and other large health insurers.

Position in this funcstion is responsible for specific services, functions, and solutions available internally or as a supporting element of a product, typically not sold stand-alone externally. Positions in this function play a critical role in ability to deliver products to market and/or manage internal business functions. Capability management requires alignment to business and/or product strategy, effective design and development, and ongoing management of capability portfolio across the full lifecycle to ensure business-specific or cross-enterprise impact. Market insights are leveraged to monitor trends and external landscape, and to inform capability strategies and customer use case scenarios. Positions in this function are accountable for delivering sustainable, financially sound solutions that solve a specific problem and enable successful external product delivery and/or internal business function performance, while driving adoption with internal business clients and define future capability direction that supports business strategy and new opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with Sales and internal teams to support our ancillary products
  • Obtain quotes by working with our UHC sister companies
  • Provide support on Ancillary Products including creation and documentation of business processes
  • Create process documents for new projects / products coming up
  • Assist in Helpdesk support for Ancillary Products to include issue resolution, coordination, collaboration and communication with all appropriate parties
  • Testing activities as new project initiatives that include Ancillary Products
  • Assist with day-to-day ID Card Administrator tasks, including the Help Desk, and other projects as assigned; creating ID card designs, as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience in the health insurance industry
  • Intermediate or better level of proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in gathering and documenting requirements from a client
  • Experience in presenting to clients/business organizations
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in analysis of business processes and workflow
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to problem solve including research of conflicting and / or inaccurate data
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects at once
  • Detail oriented with developed analytical skills

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
