Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Job at City of Youngstown Prosecutor's Office
The City of Youngstown's Prosecutor's Office is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to serve as a full-time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. The ideal candidate will
have a comprehensive knowledge of criminal procedure and the legal system, and possess a collaborative and problem solving mindset. This individual must also have excellent oral and written communication skills, a back ground in legal research and writing, and be organized and detailed oriented. A general knowledge of the Ohio Revised Code, the Ohio Rules of Criminal Procedure, and Ohio Traffic laws is a must.
Assistant Prosecutors are tasked with preparing and conducting bench and jury trials for misdemeanor offenses; preparing and conducting preliminary hearings for felony offenses; researching and writing legal briefs and motions; using logical and creative thought processes to develop trial strategies; and evaluating/analyzing cases in order to present them in a clear and logical form.
Applicants must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and be in good standing with the Ohio Supreme Court.

Salary: Starting at $60,000 yearly- depending on experience
