The University of Montana invites applications for two tenure-track assistant professor positions in the Department of Computer Science to begin in August 2023. We are interested in recruiting two outstanding candidates specializing in all areas of software engineering, software development, and software quality assurance. We are seeking faculty candidates at a range of levels including, recent Ph.D. graduates, postdocs, Ph.D. holders who are currently in the industry but want to return to academia, and early career faculty.

Successful applicants will have a doctorate in computer science or a closely related field; evidence of or potential for both teaching and research excellence; effective oral and written communication skills; an ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses; a history of collaborative research; a willingness to develop on-line courses; and a commitment to recruiting and teaching diverse groups of students. The standard teaching load is four semester-based courses per academic year.
