What We Are Looking For

An Assistant Center Director (AD) makes a difference for students and is an integral part of our local team. The AD is passionate about our mission and our students’ success. When staff or TC families have questions, they contact the AD. To keep the TC online and in-person ecosystems humming, the AD responds to all emails and takes plenty of phone calls, answer questions, offers advice, hunts down information, and serves as student advocates.

The ideal candidate has business vision and is an experienced professional who demonstrates solid proficiency in operations and administration, staff recruitment and leadership, organization and time-management, and customer retention. This is a leadership position rooted in customer-service, relationship, and communication skills.

Assistant Center Director that deliver results will be placed on a Center Director track and eventually lead the center.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • A passion for education and learning and have a strong belief in a quality education.
  • A strong desire to work with kids.
  • Proven experience with at least 4 years’ experience in a customer-service focused, fast-paced environment and at least 2 years’ experience working with parents, students, and schools.
  • A growth mindset and a track record of growing a business.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and G-Suite, and ability to troubleshoot office technology.
  • A Bachelor degree or higher.
  • Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills, and strong listening and persuasive skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and lead others.
  • The ability to learn quickly, adjust to a dynamic set of responsibilities, and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Typical Job Duties

  • Managing day-to-day operations, including student and staff scheduling, and driving student and staff experiences that lead to student and tutor success and high retention rates.
  • Leading and developing center staff through daily interaction, and leading all staffing, recruiting, training, and HR activities.
  • Managing and overseeing each student’s academic education plan and coordinating with families to ensure student progress, including helping families set goals.
  • Managing emails and special requests.
  • Establishing and cultivating collaborative relationships with tutors, students, parents, teachers, educational specialists, school administrators, and parent/teacher organizations.
  • Marketing TC tutoring and test prep services to schools and surrounding community and attending staff and community events.
  • Monitoring and tracking center qualitative and quantitative performance.
  • Assisting owner with developing and executing the strategic plan to improve center performance and maintain student success.

Job Requirements

  • We prefer that you have a Bachelor degree so that you can advance with us.
  • You will be working at the front desk, so you will need to be able to multi-task really well!!
  • Our kids look up to you. As a backup to the tutors, you need to be firm and loving with the students, setting effective boundaries and helping them stretch academically!
  • You must be able to CONFIDENTLY navigate the internet and office technology.
  • You need to be a person who loves to deliver remarkable experiences to others! We work for our parents’ awesome reviews — they love giving them to us — when we earn them!

We offer:

This is a full-time, salaried position (40+ hours per week) with varying work hours based on customer needs.

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 11am-8:30pm and Saturday 9am-3pm, and other hours or days based on the center’s needs.

A starting base salary of $40,000 to $50,000/year, based upon qualifications and experience
