Location: Beecher, IL
Position: Assembler II
Shift: Monday-Friday 2nd shift: 4:15pm - 2:45am
Pay: $16.43/hour + $2.50/hour shift differential
Retention Bonus: $500 after 90 days
THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Remove quantities of plastic flashing with hand files, scrapers, or sanders to produce cosmetically appealing and proper fitting parts.
- Cut, grind and trim a variety of parts, either composite or plastic, as required for proper fit
- Assemble parts together with adhesives, bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners.
- Use a hand pallet jack to move parts in and out of the area.
- Recognize specific product defects, voids, or flaws and their probable cause.
- Continually practice safe operation and handling of all equipment, raw materials and products throughout the entire plant.
EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use and accurately read a tape measure.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS OF THE WORKPLACE:
- Standing, bending, reaching, pushing, lifting up to 50 lbs
