Arc Air Operator (Union, 2nd Shift) - Atchison KS Job at Bradken
Bradken is seeking applicants for our Arc Air Operator position based in Atchison, KS.

Primary Duties
The arc air job is the removal of metal by electrical current and compressed air, which blows the molten metal away from the area where the metal is being removed. They also utilize arc welding to remove excess stock, remove sand inclusions, and remove slag and splatter, and cot out cracks for repairs. All of these are performed to standards which allow the casting to meet specifications. This requires the employee to get into all positions because the castings are too large to move around. (The weight of the castings range from 500 to 80,000 pounds).
Operation of an electric arc air head, using the arc air head, the operator will cut risers, gates, and other metal objects off of steel castings. The operator will work in an air supplied respirator (cutting helmet) along with wearing other safety equipment.
Requirements
Ability to Bend, Twist and Pull
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to read and write
Knowledge of Crane Operations
Knowledge of Grinders
Location
