The Department of Juvenile Justices’ IT department is seeking a qualified candidate that is interested in a rewarding opportunity to join our Application Development team. The Application Programmer/Analyst Senior position will provide assistance with developing .Net solutions for automating processes, data reporting, and our internal applications. You would be performing duties along with numerous Programmer/Analyst Experts who provide a coaching/learning environment to develop new staff, all while supporting the mission and goals of the Department of Juvenile Justice. This position offers 100% teleworking options up to (5) days a work week.

Upon hire, new employees to the Commonwealth of Virginia will be offered a sign-on bonus in the amount of $5,000 paid in two installments.

Minimum Qualifications
Interested applicants must have the following qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of systems development and design using Visual Studio .Net.
  • Advanced knowledge of C#.Net, .Net Framework, and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Advanced knowledge in developing ASP .Net, Web Services and Desktop applications in .NET.
  • Knowledge of administering Windows servers and/or Oracle RDBMS.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems plus two years’ experience programming in Visual Studio .Net or four years’ overall experience programming in Visual Studio .Net.
  • Progressively responsible experience in .Net programming, relational database design, and system development of major IT projects.
