Adult Probation Officer Job at Clearfield County Government
Interviews clients, victims, police and any other individuals with knowledge of the offender. Prepares pre-sentencing investigation report, calculates and makes recommendations for sentencing based on guidelines and attends court for sentencing and acts as witness if necessary.
Establishes rehabilitation programs for clients and monitors client compliance with programs and/or goals including monetary restitution and community service. Evaluates client compliance with court orders to determine intervention effectiveness.
Maintains case records and reports for department and/or court. Obtains and logs all evidence for corresponding case.
Coordinates all programs with local law enforcement, schools and/or social service agencies. Prepares reports for department director, court and/or appropriate agency.
MINIMUM TRAINING: Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Administration of Justice, or closely related field.
