Duties

As an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, GS-0303-07, you will provide administrative assistance in managing the Management Control Program (MCP). Provide research assistance of applicable directives from higher authority, to ensure that no conflict will result from issuance of new policy. Coordinate with Army publications sources to accomplish ordering, locating electronic publications, updating the 12 series requirements, and maintaining a current and complete publications library for the DCSLOG/G4 organization. Review incoming correspondence, publications, regulations, and directives, which may affect the DCSLOG/G4 or programs within the DCSLOG/G4 purview relative to the Army National Guard. Perform other duties as assigned.

This is a Title 5 Excepted Service position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

AOC A: NG Employees working at the location specified.
AOC B: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard.
AOC C: Open to the public.

The supervisor for this position is CPT Jacob Olson.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Application must indicate 12 months experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws. Experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions. Experience demonstrating the ability to advise lower graded employees. Experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control.

QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
