Job Summary:
The Part-time Accounting Office Assistant will perform routine clerical, filing, and data entry tasks for accounting data including accounts payable, billing, and receivables.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.
  • Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
  • Distributes accounting reports as directed.
  • May assist with mail distribution, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bookkeeping training preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Project Duration:
9 months working 20 hours a week.
