Duda Farm Fresh Foods, is currently looking for a qualified Accounting Assistant III to join our Finance and Accounting team in Belle Glade, Florida. The Accounting Assistant III will support to the Accounting Manager in providing cost and inventory analysis to operations in Belle Glade and DFFF controller, by processing and reviewing transactions related to all aspects in production and inventory.

Essential job responsibilities:

Day to day activities

• Review and close Work Orders on daily basis and provide production reports to production team
• Run weekly production reports and distribute to designated distribution list
• Review inventory usage (raw and packaging materials) and make notes of any variances
• Enter any inventory adjustments after approved by production manager
• Support in reviewing day-to-day actual labor versus standard.
• Review any production/inventory transaction errors in the system and provide reasons for any errors and make corrections.

Month-end activities

• Work with warehouse to conduct monthly perpetual inventory count (raw and packaging materials) and enter inventory adjustment with production manager’s approval;
• Enter journal entries with accounting manager’s approval;
• Run monthly production reports and distribute to designated distribution list.

Cost accounting and production related tasks

• Base on packing season, with production manager and accounting manager’s directions, to review BOM (Bill of Materials), routings, labor manning and making adjustments in the system as needed;
• Support accounting manager with entering approved new standard rates in the system;
• Support accounting manager with standard cost reports;
• Work with production to monitor any changes during the packing season which impacts the cost.

Warehouse and logistic related tasks

• Provide accounting analysis, research, and other support efforts for Belle Glade location personnel and Eastern Vegetable, and Logistic team.

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience required, in produce industry preferred.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
• High attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Walking throughout warehouses and multiple buildings. Exposure to dust and hot/cold temperatures; occasional loud noise.
• Demonstrates good oral/written communication, with strong attention to detail
• Motivated self starter willing to work with a team or operate independently if needed
• Teamwork, cooperation, positive attitude and strong work ethic
